Were you the buyer or the seller and did you put the correct address in checkout as the delivery address?

Ebay didn't send you anything. Your seller did. Maybe you should ring eBay  and see what they have to say.

Ebay will be sad to see a prolific buyer life yourself go. You are keeping them from going under.

I *never* give out my potcode, even to eBay!

As for address, eBay can only pass on to the seller the address you give them.  There's a section in your eBay settings where you can go through and set different addresses for different purposes.  Go through and delete any you don't intend to use.
