Well I think I proved my point..
This post had 412 posts and would you believe that only 20 took the time to fill the pole..
What wrong with people... ?
Um did you mean 412 VIEWS & only 20 people were interested enough to take part in your POLL ?
There are only 9 POSTS on this THREAD-mine will make 10.

proves that only 1% of people find the Polls even slightly interesting... the majority of us think they are just annoying

Yes 10 commented to the post.. but you can see also over 400 seen the post.
You would think they read the post and at least take a few seconds to answer the poll so people could see what they thought.
It seems people are only interested when they have a problem.

I'm not interested in filling in polls.

As already said above: most people find the polls stupid and would not waste their time on them, those who do click on one of the options usually click just to see what people selected, and as the top one is, well, on the top it gets clicked on more often. Polls are useless, even if this one actually makes more sense than most.

I think you'll find the the number of views is the total number, not unique members' views.
ie. If I've looked at this thread 5 times over its life, then that's 5 views. Which will translate into a maximum of 1 vote.

Do you mean over 400 people saw the post?
However grammatically correct you make the statement it doesn't prove that anyone read past the opening post!
It says in this book I am reading that by 2065 80% of women will be overweight.
See what a trendsetter I am?

I didn't see an answer in the poll that was in line with my opinion on the matter.
You asked the question and you provided the answers, why would anyone bother with the poll?

The number of views on a thread is not directly related to the number of members that have viewed it.
One person opening a thread twice = 2 views, so if someone has visited this thread (and voted, which can only be done once), all subsequent visits are still added to the tally. Plus it also includes "views" by bot crawls (eg Google / Yahoo bots, probably even spam bots).
