True, but also consider that there is "Standard delivery" and "Standard delivery - registered". Other services may offer "registered" in addition to "standard", but most couriers etc have tracking and SOD as standard, with things like insurance being the optional extras.
Registered was removed from postage options after C&S was introduced, because registered was also discontinued for Australia Post's parcel service. It was eventually brought back because so many sellers complained about having to use "Parcel post - with tracking and signature" to indicate they were sending a registered letter.

To be honest, I used to do that and only noticed fairly recently that the other options were available again - oops ! Have been changing my listings as I relist/revise etc, but at least with Parcel Post eBay allows an extra day or 2 for delivery, so was actually wondering if it may be worthwhile listing all as Parcel Post ![]()
Why does something that should be quite simple have to be so complicated and restricting ?
Edit : I know - because it's eBay - of course ![]()

As I said "In eBay Speak" while it may not say Letter it is meant to include large letter, as digital*ghost stated the other option is "Standard Delivery -Registered" which is very much an Auspost option for letters and not parcels.

I use the Standard Delivery for Large letters as Parcel post infers there is tracking, and some pedantic buyer is likely to claim didn't send it as a parcel but a letter. Basically I don't need the argo no matter how remote the chances!

Further if you look at a listing which used Standard Delivery when listed, under the actual listing Postage and Payments tag it states
Standard Postage (Standard delivery)
Postage to me means sent by Post not courier

Have you asked Ebay? They dont read these boards.
I doubt Ebay will do anything unless theres significant pressure from Sellers.

at the end of the day ebay does not reconise large letter thats why there are no settings that state large letter . so how can they change something that does not excist, unless it has tracking or a signature to them its not a delivery.

Agree - if everyone directly pressures eBay, there might actually be a response. UK has a 2 tiered mail delivery system, so perhaps eBay do know how to accommodate it.
I agree, absolutely, but I wouldn't hold my breathe ![]()
The last two times I phoned regarding this issue (which were admittedly some time ago), the response I got on both occasions was 'Use Registered Post with Tracking'
