I would encourage every seller using large letters to write or phone eBay and raise the concern about the lack of appropriate shipping options and new delivery timeframes.  I do this every other day, normally as a side note when appealing every late delivery defect.    Surely they will eventually realise what needs to change if all their customer support staff are tied up on this issue!!

Sold an item late last night 6/1, processed it this morning 7/1..Going melbourne to WA, checked delivery estimate it is showing 8/1 fri(tommorrow)-15/1 fri via regular post..huh?

ASSUMPTION IS THE MOTHER OF ALL STUFF UPS!!

I understand this is a quick fix for you, but as a customer we have the right to expect ebay to provide accurate and reasonable delivery times.

The request is reasonable and it will only change if people keep asking, its ludicous that we have to demand they provide accurate calculations regarding postage.

When they are well aware this eta is the cause of the majority or unreasonable expectations on item arrival times for non capital city sellers/buyers.

Its clear to see on Australia Posts website and via the link in my original post.

Regular mail is now going to take another 2 days in transit than it did in 2015.

Aust Post did not introduce a quicker service, they introduced a surface mail slower service.

Sneaky suckers just kept the name as Regular probably to minimise how flamed everyone is about this.

Regular is not the same anymore, if you want Regular as we used to know it eta times, you have to pay even more for

Priority.

Thank you for letting me know you guys have put this to ebay, I dont want to adjust my handing times, people want items fast and I want them to know I will get it to them as quick as I can by posting each day.

I've put a bit into two of my listings so buyers get a heads up about how things have changed as below:

Australia post has changed their prices and Delivery time for Regular mail to:

Old price up to 125grams:$1.40,up to 250grams: $2.10,up to 500 grams: $3.50,

(new prices,$2,$3 and $5).

Their standard letter service takes a bit longer than before - an extra 1-2  business days

in most cases.

I post quickly and have no control over how long Australia Post takes to deliver

the item to you.

I'll see how it goes.

It duplicated?

So I edited this one.
