ebay postage labels on non-ebay satchels?

so i'm guessing it's not going to be a problem, but better safe than sorry 🙂

 

has anyone used blank or click and send satchels with ebay labels? i got 10 free from a promo, exactly the same size as the ebay ones and they even have the window!

You may get away with it, you may not but for the sake of a 15c satchel ($1,50 saving in total) I wouldn't risk it. It is only $0.15 extra to use AP parcel rate after all.

 

You can save $1.50 and risk your items not arriving or you being surcharged or you can spend an extra $1.50 and not worry knowing you have done the right thing.

Didn't I read somewhere that you can now use recycled satchels as packaging? 

 

I've never been challenged on the packaging with eBay labels, I know they say you have to use theirs, but on the rare occasions when I use eBay labels, I have always used my own shurtuff satchels and it's never been an issue.

I do it all the time and have never had a problem with it.

I do have the ebay satchels for 500g or less but some items won't fit in them even though they are the right weight. I just wrap them myself and tape the label on top.  I never buy the 3kg satchels, i always wrap them myself. 

Never a problem.

thanks everyone, i might just go ahead and give it a go when i run out of ebay ones.

 

ebay labels work on you own packaging anyway, the only difference would be something else instead of 'small satchel' in the packaging column, and i can't see auspost checking that!

 

the satchels would go to waste otherwise 🙂

The 3kg satchel from Australia Post are 15cents each the same price as the 500gms.

If you mean the blank ones from Australia post I use them all the time and have had no problems.
