Click and collect is a great idea, when it works.
Sometimes it doesn't. Here's my story
I had a delivery go to Woolworths at Town Hall station in Sydney in February.
1. I turned up after receiving confirmation it had arrived and they couldn't find it. They called eBay who told me an "investigation" would be launched.
2. A week later I checked my eBay login and it said the delivery had been "collected". I sent a 'WTH' message to eBay who replied that this flag was set when my collection code was entered at WW. Very poor IMO.
3. & 4. I send further messages to try to get an update with no reply. The eBay categories for lodging a complaint were no help.
5. After giving up I went back tonight, three months later, they looked for the parcel using my name and found it!!!
6. I had to speak to eBay again to verify myself. I asked what had happened in the 'investigation' only to be told it had been marked as 'lost'
BTW. The envelope had an Australia Post tracking code on it.
All this for a $13 SD card. "Not happy Jan!!"
