No.......not so. I sent that pattern by email, because my printer had to be sent back to the manufacturer and I thought that she would appreciate not waiting for 2 weeks.

I had contacted her and told her the situation. She didn't reply.

As it happened my printer was back in one week and she received her pattern in the mail.

And....I won't do that again. I will cancel the sale.

At least one of your listings states the item is a PDF file which obviously isn't a physical item. The best thing for you to do it cancel it and never list it again.

Well..........I save them all to PDF. Are you not allowed to put PDFs in the mail?

Ebay don't allow anyone to sell an item and send it in an email. If you post a paper pattern that's fine.

I sell patterns and have that clearly listed in my titles. I get people thinking that they are buying a handmade, pure wool blanket for $6. Or a baby dress, shoes, nappy cover and hat for $4.50. When they receive a pattern in the mail..............they leave me negative feedback. If someone contacts me and tells me politely that they have made an error, I ask them to spend the 60 cents postage, post it back to me and I will refund them. However several have just left negatives because they thought that they were buying the goods and did not receive what they THOUGHT that they were buying, because they didn't read the listing.   I leave them there. I hope it might alert other buyers who don't read.

JMO but your title DOES look misleading.

I would put Crochet Pattern FOR Little baby hat & shoes & show a photo of the actual printed instructions.

The way you've written it plus the actual description reads as the buyer will receive a baby hat & shoes IN a crochet pattern.

Thank you for that. I will amend that and make it clearer that it is a pattern only. Mind you, on some of my items I have written 'this is a pattern only........not a finished item'.

The thing is crocheters and knitters know what 'pattern' is, obviously others don't.

I have just amended as many as I could (I don't have too many) but the ones with bids on could not be changed. 

Most of my sales are to people who know what I am selling, so it isn't a great issue. I list them in crafts, patterns, crochet.

I would have thought that that was enough, but............I know..........people don't read and sometimes even if they do, they don't know as much of the subject as I and others do and can be forgiven. 

I have to reiterate, if someone buys my pattern thinking it is a finished garment, I refund them (has happened several times), but if they don't contact me and just leave negative feedback, I am offended.

I like my craft and don't want anyone to feel slighted, but they could communicate and all would be fine.
