I have to reiterate, if someone buys my pattern thinking it is a finished garment, I refund them (has happened several times

Jenny,if you have needed to refund several times, did you not think at any point that something was horribly wrong ?

At least you've been nice enough to take onboard the suggestions re wording of your titles.:-)

They ARE gorgeous items BTW,unfortunately I don't remember how to knit or crochet anymore 😞

Have you ever considered selling the actual items & not just the patterns ?

There is 1 thing i do not get,and if anybody can answer then please do ?

Why does Ebay let dodgy buyers trade on Ebay,I am sure that especially in this case they have enough evidence to remove this buyer for good,But do not,But i am sure that a dodgy seller would and should be removed.

It kind of seems like a 1 way street to me.

A dodgy buyer would get strikes or sanctions if they were a repeat offender.

This thread is about allegedly unfair negative feedback for a seller.

I don't see the relevance of your post.

The thing is crocheters and knitters know what 'pattern' is, obviously others don't.

You have to take into consideration that you need to play to the lowest common denominator and some people are just TSFE so you have to list things so a guppy can understand them;-)

Although most people would see what category they are listed in and read the word pattern if one of your listings shows up in a search a numpty buyer may just take a quick look at the title and pic and put in a bid.

Can you explain this ?

PDF pattern for lovely spring dress and shoes. "

Like most other files, you can write the data to a CD-R, SD card or USB stick and post them in the mail. Or, you can email the PDF then send a paper print out - perfectly legit on eBay AU as long as a physical item is on offer.

How do you not see the relevance ?

My point is that this buyer already had a track record of giving unfair negative feedback to sellers,Now if something had have been done about this buyer alot earlier. then this seller might not have been treated in this way and this thread might not even exist.

Thank you DG. In 2 lines you've explained what Wikipedia can't explain in one long page of technical gibberish.

TCT

Well............I sell them on a US site that only sells knitting and crochet patterns, nothing else and I and other sellers still get people thinking that they are buying the finished item. I know that people will do that and that is why I refund if they bought it in error.

I have tried selling the made items, but people don't want to pay what I need to charge for them.

I either give away or sell the prototypes for next to nothing.

I will watch my listing titles.
