That still creates an open transaction on eBay, that technically the buyer is obliged to follow through with (in other words, just because someone can do something, doesn't mean that's the way it should be done).
What you're really saying is that it's ok for a buyer to intentionally withdraw an item from sale to reserve it for themselves, pending inspection and approval. But in all reality what it really is, and the way it should be treated, is merely an expression of interest (which by and large should not be able to leave a seller with a "sold" item that isn't actually sold, nor the buyer with a UPI strike).
Digi, are you saying that if a buyer uses BIN on a pickup item they should not inspect the item before paying but just hand over the dosh and take their chances?
