Have to agree that is crazy with phone numbers clearly listed. Cheap advertising for $1. And you can ring for other parts... Thought ebay was only for selling

Highly doubtful and I think they only host these forums to humour us?

Unjust thing about it is, the big boys, eg Good Guys, Myer etc, don't need a phone no or postcode etc as they're so well known that people can just go to their b&m or their own on-line store and purchase there. Doesn't make it a level playing field.

It is actually illegal for registered Australian businesses not to have their details on display.  The big stores are only complying with Australian Law and ebay would be in bulk trouble if they refused to allow it.

The ACCC would be first in line to make ebay allow the information to be displayed.

I thought it was compulsory to only show their ABN number on all publicly available media?

I also complained about illegal selling practices against a competitor, who are 200 times the size of me. They made chinese copies of my product and wer eselling off at the real deal. We can't see who your buyer is. Only you can. They sound like a right numpty though.

My account got restricted too, I did try to pass my phone number to the buyer before they had click on buy now, but was not trying to get around their fees.

The consultant I talked to today said this block would be on my account for the next week and there was nothing they could do.... after reading this thread I tried again and they still refused to removed it.

Absolute joke.
