Tick the checkboxes for the items in your selling manager page, use the edit function and then the Edit > Item Description > Add to item description function.

What I do is I keep a few %note% type codes in my listing descriptions so that every time I list my items I can easily do a bulk search and replace on the descriptions to vary blocks of text each time.
