Before you do anything else, close your store. Even though you aren't allowed to sell any more, they will keep charging you for your store while it remains open. Stopping you from selling doesn't automatically close your store.

As others have said, you're screwed. Sorry. There is a way to get around a suspension, but I can't won't post it here as it would violate several rules of both the forums and eBay in general. I'd like to keep posting here and also selling!

A close friend of my sister was shut down for no reason (she was selling off her kid's clothes as they grew out of them). She is now selling successfully again and eBay are none the wiser. In fact, she's doing way better than before and has branched out into selling brand new kids clothes too! What started off as clearing clutter has now turned into a great little business.

Yes, she had to start from scratch, with 0 feedback, listing limits and 21 day PayPal hold, but it was worth it.

thanks for the info anything else you may think of can also be sent to me via REMOVED.

This won't help you Cockatoojack I'm sorry and we're not made of money, but so help me God if we were shut down,  knew we were in the right, and suffered loss of income etc., as a result, we'd be throwing a few thousand at our lawyer.

We had a very unsavoury experience in another lifetime involving a patent and I won't go into the in's and out's of it, but basically a patent stands, be it proper or improper, until proven otherwise. Loss of business was horrendous. We knew the patent was no good and we weren't infringing, but there was only one way to fix things, and we did.

Six long, harrowing and expensive years later, we 'owned' the useless patent and the original patent holder, if you get my meaning. He was so arrogant he didn't bother to protect his estate. We ended up with a nice bit of that too and the judgement on loss of earning was more than we'd hoped for  🙂

eBay is a bully with no respect for law, common decency and common propriety. The law is an ass sometimes, but it's a great fallback, if you are in the right.

Just for your consideration.

eBay is a big multi-national, but it's policies and behaviours make it very vulnerable if someone  cares to stand their ground legally, and some do. You never read of it though and that might give you some indication of the results.

i wish you well.

Melina.

PS....have some manners eBay!!

Sorry melina but you'd need more than a few $$ to throw at a lawyer that was willing to take ebay on? not a chance as ebay are a law onto themselves.

If you don't get anywhere but still want to sell on ebay, I think you will eventually have to open a new account, with a new card, perhaps a credit card, a new paypal account & new details so that it won't be linked in any way to your present accounts.

If eBay spot the same ISP on the new account springy, they'll shut it down straight away.

Yes, I realise it would need a new ISP.

But I'd say it can be done & has been done.

When it is done for malicious reasons, such as buying something in order to give revenge feedback, I think it is probably not always too hard to spot, especially if the person hasn't changed the home address.

But if it is done carefully & for honest reasons & the new business is conducted ethically etc then hopefully it could work out. I get the impression tippy's friend did something of the kind.

It's not a lot of use hitting your head against a brick wall if ebay won't listen. They obviously won't reinstate the account so sometimes discretion is the better part of valour.

A friend just commented to me that your problem could be to do with the fact you have an ebay account in one country, banking in another. Or as he puts it, registered in one country, dealing in another.

That could have brought up the red flags.

Maybe if you have Australian banking, stick in future to an Australian account, Australian address etc but be willing to sell internationally.

OP was registered in Australia and banked in Australia regarding the suspended account.

But seems to be dealing with ebay.us rather than ebay.com.au because he lives in the USA now.

That's what I am reading from their post I think lol

thank you and could not agree more

hmm don't know about that it would only be a few g to get an injuction against them and i really are thinking about that.

Hi cockatoo, I have sent you a PM to the "discounts" ID. Look at the top of the page where there is a blue number 1 and click on it.
