@Kollector

Yes I know. A seemingly impossible path. But it's all about how 'right' you are, and of course as you point out, whether you can fund an action or not. It would be a lot of money just to prove a point. I understand. But, ever since our 'direction in life changing episode' we've maintained a fighting fund and wouldn't hesitate to use it - all of it.

I've said it before, eBay have been good to us, but sone of what I read almost makes me sick. Anyway, I'm not much help, but wish I could be. Bullies and those who intimidate and create fear and loss are just the worst in life.

Point taken.

Melina.

The problem is that ebay have rules and policies in place that every consumer has to abide by and when someone is suspended by ebay it's for breaking a policy.

When this happens and it happened to me you immediately say what the hell have I done wrong?

In my case I absolutely did nothing wrong and simply got scammed by buyers lying and getting away with ebay's MBG policy which back then was a joke and now sellers have a greater chance of this not happening to them.

Same in my case I was given no explanation other than you have made it an unsafe experience for buyers so ebay had no choice but to suspend me blah blah.

It was the fine print which perhaps got me suspended which was more pro the buyers than I as a seller.

To this day I still protest my innocence and to this day I still don't have a clue why I was suspended as I to had the perfect record.

I took steps to try and fight the decision legally and was basically told that due to a policy breach I had no chance of winning even if I went ahead with legal proceedings.

And the problem was because ebay had no legal obligation to reveal why and how I was suspended I had no choice but to let it go.

But there were a few board members on here that offered some advise on some of the issues I was dealing with and it has taken me a while now to follow through on that advice and I have now done that and those members that I have mentioned and one of them in particular will know that I'm talking about them cheers to you know who you are I have taken your advice and done what you have said.

It is never good when a decent seller gets suspended when they have done no wrong and it's up to the individual to decide if they're willing to spend the money and time to follow through with legal action,in my case with the rules that were in place at the time it was in the end pointless.

It was very unfair what they did to you eezi, but to make it worse was the fact they wouldn't look at reinstating your selling account, even though the probable reason for the ban was a factor that doesn't come in to play anymore.

"Start me up I'll never stop......"

That's right padi those rules/policies don't even come into play anymore and that's what I have been fighting ebay for over 2 years.

I kept on saying that hey you've eased/changed those stupid rules now so to me it shows that you/ebay were in the wrong IMHO so how about reinstating me on the fact that the suspension was going against common sense and very unfair policies compared to the way the policies are decided now.

Truthfully though ebay just didn't/won't admit they came up with the wrong decision and don't have to reverse the decision but hey that bloody decision ruined our lives for a very long time.

That's why these days I make sure that I don't push the limit if you know what I mean and things are going good at the momentWoman Wink

I'm very sorry Kollector, and it certainly wasn't my intention to suggest that my way was the remedy, or to otherwise suggest it was easy, or that you hadn't done all you could. Far from it. It's issues like yours that make me feel very uncomfortable about investing in EBay. eBay may not recognise that, but we each do, significantly.

All can do is wish you well and hope the advice from certain people in here has seen you putting a foot forward and re-gaining what you once had. Honestly, I so feel for you.

Take care,

Melina.

I woould recommend that you keep calling ebay.

I had an account suspended approximately 2 years ago. It was a brand new account that I created with the intention of specialising in selling electronics, to take over all electronics I was selling from this account I am posting with. I listed one item in the new account and ebay suspended the account indefnitely for "suspicious activities". I rang ebay and they would not lift the suspension, so I gave up and thought no more of it. About a year ago, I created another new account, this time I wanted to register it as a shop right away and rang ebay to avoid difficulties for a brand new 0 feedback account. After getting through a few departments they sent me to the ebay safety department, which approved the account as a shop after a few basic questions. At the end of the conversation, the ebay rep asked, "What about this xxxxx account you created last year? What do you need it for and do you want me to unlock it?". I explained what I needed it for and that I disn't need it anymore but if she could unlock it then that was ok. She unlocked it.

So it can happen. Ebay can come to their senses. It may have taken a year and the account may have been useless now, but it happened.

Ebay is very unpredictable at best. All you can do is play by their rules and hope for the best, but persistence can sometimes pay off. Keep calling them.

Yes but that account wasn't suspended because of any policy breaches it's a different story when there is a breach.

And I don't agree with you that it is possible to have a suspension upheld.

Your situation is totally different to what has happened to me and OP and others.

kollector, where exactly did you read that the OP had breached any policy? He said he didn't know why he was suspended.

Yes that is exactly what happened to me lol so when you get suspended after many years of selling for no explanation at all from ebay means that you have breached a policy it's simple as that.

But of course ebay won't tell you what or why and I made many many many calls to ebay and nothing changed.

OP has received the exact message from ebay as I did.

PS: OP will never know why he was suspended as ebay don't tell you why you get suspended just that you are lol.

Bottom line is you don't know what the OP's situation is. He may have murdered someone, he may have simply been suspended by a quick trigger-pulling ebay employee. You got all worked up about my answer to the OP above because my situation was "totally different", but you don't know. Your guess is as good as mine. You certainly can't assume that the OP's situation is exactly the same as yours.
