Bump, didn't my use of the word "supposedly" TWICE give you a clue to the fact that I don't believe a word of it???:O:^O

Add that to the fact that the OP has not returned to the thread and I would say that they are having a lend of us.

You mean he is full of it ? 😮

I would have thought the obvious answer was to make a complaint to the Police.  If your company has probate over the estate I would have thought YOU have a responsibility to report the matter to the authorities.

Hi

To answer some of the relevant points, the Police are involved as well as appropriate legal entities.  However, the police being the police take their time. Ours lawyers attempts along with our own have failed and we want to keep the ball rolling.

We have clearly demonstrated to the Court wrong doing and illegal activities, hence why we were granted probate. Yet generating a stronger case is always an advantage given it is likley this matter will drag out.

We do have rights to the information requested under the appropriate Australian laws and acts and we are not looking to do anything against EBay but merely strengthen our case and gather evidence.

Our firm is very good at what we do, hence how I know items were purchased posthumous and then onsold via Ebay. But we have not before had a requirement to request the information we are seeking from Ebay, and to-date I have not received a response from Ebay advising us how to go about it or even if we can.  I figure if there is an avenue for the police there should be an avenue for our firm.

Hence my post as I was hoping that maybe I would be provided or receive some useful information infomation in this regard.

Thanks to those who actually made thoughtout responses.

Regards

My question is simple I suppose in the end.

Does anyone have direct contact details for a real person, within Australia whom I can speak with, who is not in a call centre or general customer support?

The several numbers, emails and postal addresses I have curned though thus far have yeilded no reply, whatsoever.

Regards.

Had you provided this extra information in your first post you would probably not have received some of the answers you were given.

If your lawyers have not been able to get the information you are requesting I would say ebay feels they are not entitled to it.

I cannot see that you have any other options but to wait for the police to go through the appropriate channels.

In your position you should know that Estates that end up in the courts will take forever to be wound up...been there, done that.

Well to ask the obvious...have you tried the number in the Sydney phone book, and the PO box number for a letter?  Did you register the letter?

As far as I know the number available from the ebay site is only an Australian 1800 number that goes to ebay in the USA....there is no number on the ebay site itself to talk to anyone here.

Wouldn't eBay have some sort of registered address in Australia for "official" business?

Is there a governament body with which companies must be registered?

BTW your original post seemed to me and many others that you were yet to call in the police thus the disbelief that you were in any way genuine.

I wasted many years of my life with a solicitor and the firm he worked for had researchers to find the sort of information you need, do you have access to researchers?
