Hi, I am an eBay seller. in Australia . if you selling item $100 in total. the fee are $10 gst, $13 ebay fee . $3 on PayPal charge. $10 postage . so total cost about $36 . way too much !!!!!!!!

It not good at all  !!!!

The fees on a $100 sale are,$10.90 for the eBay fees,(which includes GST),$2.90 PayPal fee for a total of

$13.80

Postage is paid by the buyer or if you post with free postage you still have to pay for it regardless,(it you use

eBay labels then it's cheaper to use than AP and GST on the postage of $10 would be $1).

You could try selling via a normal auction company and they will charge you 30%,(so $30 but no postage).

So if you sell a $100 item on eBay it totals to $14.80,(not your figure of $36).

Less than that tazz. They have a store, so FVF is lower.

It always worries me when people running businesses don't even know what their costs are.

Given it is now 3 years since your infamous statement "Give us 12-months and we should be outta here I reckon." can one assume your game plan has not worked as planned?? (lol)

Isn't the GST included just for the fee's? He would still have to pay GST on the sale which would be $10.

So, $25 on tazz's figures. That is still significantly less than $36.

And the GST and postage are fixed prices if you sell online and post, so the only real extras for using eBay are their fees.

Paypal fees don't really count, as you would need high volumes to have a merchant credit facility work out cheaper per transaction, and it still costs.

that level of sales and turnover and you haven’t factored the GST into your pricing structure and/or business model?

That is potentially $22,727 donated to the ATO (if you are not offsetting GST inputs on things like the cost of doing business)

Its not about free. Its about reasonable bloody fees. They are pricing themselves into extinction. They don't own the merchandise yet they act as if it's theirs.

Thats **bleep**.does not make the fees fair
