ebay plus glitch, plus members being charged postage?

I do charge postage on my items, with ebay coughing up the postage cost. for plus subscribers on eligible items.

However, twice in the past fortnight, I have had plus members contacting me to say they have been charged postage on items shown to be eligible for plus benefits.

I couldn't be certain of the veracity of their claims initially, as only about 60% of my items appear as such.. However, I arranged a cancellation with the first customer, relisted and checked via a search. It was plus, customer bought again and was charged postage again.

Contacting CS about this, they denied it was the case, and that both I and the customer were mistaken.Today, they have acknowldged there is an issue but not when it will be fixed.

I don't know why it is displaying the logo on the listing of yours that I checked, but I can see 2 reasons for it to not be eligable

1) you have a $1 fee for each aditional item. Since this is a handling fee though, it may not count.

2) the express option is over the $15 limit

the item I looked at https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Tool-Melbourne-2007-Concert-Poster-Art-Ken-Taylor-Limited-Second-Edition...

Thanks for that.

I am aware that a small number of my listings do/did have a small additional fee for multiples. The new Australia Post charges prompted a bulk edit of postage policies  but some items may not have changed.. It is a constant cycle of checking and changing listings.

Upon revisiting my items today, my main category (posters and prints) now has all new items as ebay plus.

This isn't  the case for my other categories, so far.

The Express Post option has been just added, due to customer demand, as standard post times seem to be getting longer. If I recall correctly, the free postage for plus subscribers only applies to the standard delivery option.

But really, this post was just to raise the issue of plus customers being charged postage on eligible items. The first customer kept 'buying' until the free postage happened, cancelling the previous attempts. The second customer paid the postage and was given a voucher by ebay.

I personally care little about the plus program, as a seller. Less than 3% of my sales have been to plus customers over the past three months, although that is probably an increase over previous periods.
