I'm pretty sure this is due to me keeping the classic view. I've noticed when trying to return to " my ebay" from a link provided when, eg, I've left feedback, then the annoying missing page message is the result. However if I click on "my ebay" from the menu across the top of the page, no problems.
Probably Ebay trying to get people to use their actually useless new view.
