It doesnt help when they sent a parcel I bought in Melbourne, for delivery to Melbourne, via Sydney, currenty sitting in the Strathfield sorting centre. I just hope it doesnt sit there as long as it sat in Melbourne. They are as hopeless as ever.

I'd like to hear their excuse for sending Melbourne to Melbourne via Sydney? Maybe they're so short staffed they're throwing whole bags of unsorted mail on the plane to Sydney for them to sort
The main reason is the government forced them to reduce their work force by half, so now they can't handle it. they are already understaffed and are reluctant to hire more & rent more facilities as soon as the pandemic hits they crumble within a few days.
A friend told me sometimes smaller items are sitting in trailers or crates for weeks before they are sorted.
Just noticed I've got something I sold sitting in Chullora at the moment, destined for Melbourne, originated in South Australia—another weird way to go. I'd better go warn my buyer...
According to MyPost, most of my items, except those going to WA, are being delivered within a week. Even to Metro Melbourne, where are lot of them are going.
Maybe MyPost gets priority, as they shouldn't need to be manually sorted.
