Well....I simply won't buy any designer goods unless they are second hand. That way the original owner can wear the guilt of supporting sweat shops. Much cheaper too, especially where I go.

In these near perfect copy times, it is invariably assumed that people are wearing or carrying fakes. I mean what fool would walk the streets with a genuine Birkin ?

The point I was trying to make is that LV are not too concerned with some random person who buys the goods, they're concerned with people importing the goods and selling them; and making money off someone else's design..

How would you feel if you were a photographer who sold photos and someone came along,  started stealing your pictures and sold them saying it was their work.. You'd feel pretty cheated wouldn't you?

It's not about the individual buying the fakes, it's about the retailer who imports the goods and sells them..

Justify it all you like but copyright infringement is illegal

You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

patchoo ive already stated that i personally dont have a problem with it as long as the seller states its a fake.  But hey  i can see the point every one is trying to make-  basically either way its stealing intellectual property.   I have  a problem with the sellers who use the real labels picture and dont do anything to show the product advertised is not what you are getting.

Oh and I just did some reading just to see what this counterfeit market is all about  and since decided the reason I would be against buying knockoffs (which I dont anyway)  is more because of the crime and child labour that circles around these knockoffs in the countries they come from.    It would be nice if the LV intellectual property police (yes they exist and make regular trips to china)  were actually able to bust some of these crime rings whilst protecting their intellectual property.

Anyway  I dont really want a whole bunch of people calling me out on my opinion and I know that there are still about 5 more regular posters who havent gotten their quip in .... but please  lol

Sure you are spot on with that one Foxy :^O

I can't imagine why anyone would want to buy most of the 'designer' brands. Most of them are pug ugly especially LV. Why would I want to pay a fortune to walk around advertising their logo, they should be paying me and I doubt if there is enough money in the world 😉
