I agree with Lumikgroup.

Coupled with Buyer protection policies and an absolute disregard for any responsibility to read and comprehend a description it seems buyers feel like they can get away with anything.

Is a very simple explanation - most of the listings on eBay show now "Afterpay might be available"  - only way for the buyer to see if it's available is to buy the item. A lot of sales now where buyer actually buys an item and then see Afterpay is not available and will not pay or ask for cancellation

Afterpay availability is shown to me when I view an item without the need to purchase.

Things can always bear repeating though.

It's certainly what I would be doing if I were still selling with BIN.

I am just wondering if a rash of non paying bidders could be because of the recent TV ad campaign. I'm in Melbourne and at the moment, most nights you can see ads for either buying things on ebay or else for ebay plus (pushing free postage/cheaper prices etc). Maybe with lockdown and so on, the ads have persuaded more people to turn to ebay to have a look at things because a ot of stores are shut.

A lot of newbies probably don't read the terms and conditions properly or else, if they have a new account, don't feel they have anything to lose if they just don't pay.

It would be interesting to know what category of people are not paying for OP-whether a lot are new accounts or not.
