Back in the better days David sellers could block buyers with less than 10 (I think) feedback that hadn't been verified, eBay in their wisdom cancelled that avenue. To my mind it was a valid tool for sellers to weed out problem buyers, not prefect, but little is in the eBay world..................

If you have red flags, just cancel and refund with the option "Problem with Buyers Address", so you don't get a defect.
Having said that, I've sold to many 0 feedbck buyers over the years without incident, but it depends on what the item is, as well as its value and how much risk you're willing to take.

How much feedback did you start with?
Would you have been happy to have purchases cancelled when YOU were new?

IMHO, it is quite different having zero when you are new and having zero over four years later
My first thought would be a hacked account to be honest

Glad to hear it.
I have had smooth transactions with 0 FB buyers who didn't buy straight away. Not 4 years, admittedly, but a year or so isn't particularly uncommon.
My issues tend to be with more experienced buyers who know how to work the system.
