I keep everything in an eBay File Exchange file so I can pick and choose to upload what I want at any time. (File Exchange allows you to upload a single file containing all your listings data.)

I spoke to eBay on chat this week about the free listings and got this response:

"I'm anticipating that some free listing promotions in 2-3 weeks on eBay and I'm very positive that you'll get them too on your account."

So sounds like they just got rid of them for the Christmas period.

I was surprised they didn't have the "Sell your unwanted items" free listings promotion which they always did after Xmas. I think they skipped it last year also.

what is a file exchange file and where do I find that? Is that  a store thing?

They were just telling you what they think you wanted to hear.

They will say anything to get rid of you as quickly as possible.

Don't hold your breath waiting.

File Exchange does seem hard to find through the account menus.  I always search using Google and end up here:

Then I click "Sign Up" each time and it takes me to the file upload screen.

 

Note: It might be a bit confusing for some people.

Is it showing as active? If it is it is live. Be aware that the $0 insertion fees isn't active. Any you list will come off your standard issue. On the plus side anything you list within the promo period that sells will attract the free FVF, not just the first 2.

Dave, just as a matter of interest, does the $0 FVF apply to all listings made, just new listings (as opposed to relisted), or just to drafts that you finish. Thanks in advance for your time.
