Yes, me too. "Received email with detailed invoice" is already off and I still receive them.

I just bulk delete emails I'm not interested in. That includes ebay spam. It takes like less than 1.5 seconds to delete a bulk amount. Not hard at all.

As aforementioned, so do I, it is the principle. The creeping reduction in customer service and automation on ebay and elsewhere is troublesome.

Automation is everywhere, not just ebay. As is evident by the amount of emails I used to get about "member enlargement", which would be quite useful for me being a female. Unless you create a new email address every month, you're going to get spammed. Nothing you can do about it.

I expect spam from everywhere, except perhaps a multinational and internet staple with over USD$10billion in revenue, who also has a button to switch off said spam. And I do use eBay a lot less than I used to, mostly because of its reduction in customer service... I am not complaining about something for the sake of it, I have adjusted my behaviour as a result.

Also, I am not against automation just because something is automated, it is often useful, it is when the customer experience is materially worse that it is frustrating. eBay went way too far in the direction it did.
