You think they would explain this in the letter they send! The letter  made out that these can be used right away! Another stuff up by Aust Post! Free satchels that can't even be used! The least they could do is provide information about this when you log on to c&s! 

Did you get a different letter than went to this and my other IDs, minimikimus you ?? All of the letters I received said the following....

"We also want to provide you with advance notice of the impending release of a new Express Post version of the 500g and 3kg flat rate satchels. These satchels offer a simple and cost-effective express delivery service for when you are sending urgent items to your customers. These satchels are planned for release over the coming weeks and we have enclosed some samples for you."

I have thrown my letter out but yes, that sounds about right but I'm pretty sure that mine also said something about them being exactly the same as the normal satchels. So I presume the "planned for release over the next coming weeks" means "do not use them until we announce" - they should have been clearer in my opnion.

I can certainly provide some information in regards to the new flat rate Express post satchels.

It may help to know that when processing your item, once the product code is entered, when you select 'Choose Available Services" the relevant flat rate postage price will display for both Parcel post Plus and Express Post for you to select. Although there is no provision for you to use the flat rate Express Post satchels at present, we are happy to advise this option that will be available very shortly in Click and Send. 

Any updates and new features with Click and Send will be advised to the public via the welcome page. I hope my email has answered your enquiry and concerns.

You get something for nothing in time for it to be released and you still whinge?

I haven't had any, perhaps because I haven't bought any for a long time as I bought a large quantity last time and I still had a lot of the free ones left.
