Same code as the 3kg satchel - you now get the option for Express or Regular Parcel Post.

Just proceed as you would when processing a 3k C&S satchel, then when you click on Search available services,  the option will come up to select Express post,  the cost is flat rate $13 as opposed to standard flat rate at $11.70.

Thanks so much for your interest in our Express Australia Post/eBay flat rate satchels.  I’m afraid that this product is not available and we do not have a release date scheduled at this stage.

The option you mentioned for Express through Click and Send would be in regards to an offer we extended to attendees of the national Professional eBay Sellers Alliance (PeSA) conference. This was a once-off opportunity to send an Express Post 3kg parcel via Click and Send for a flat rate of postage.

I used them as standard satchels at the time and popped them in the yellow box. Dont know if they went through the system as express or not. Depends if the sorters noticed regular post label or just passed them through as express. They were all delivered pretty quick so i am guessing they went express regardless of label

I asked C&S and they have responded: 

"You can used the flat-rate Express Post option as long as you have the matching flat-rate satchels. We did distribute some of these satchels to selected customers before Christmas. What is currently occurring is a limited offer to customers who have these satchels on hand. Eventually we hope to have the satchels available for purchase to everyone"

So it looks like we can use the "gifts" given to us (but only in the 3kg) as the express option is not available in 500g yet. I'm not even bothering unless someone specifically asks for express after they have won it.

Isn't it interesting that Australia Post reps provide different "versions" of what is going on and why this option suddenly appeared with no advice to their customers ~ how unusual ..... not...

LOL! Doesn't surprise me either. Isn't it strange though that that the 500g ones aren't available? 

I just found out as well that the express option is only valid until the 30th June! Would be nice if we were told this! Imagine if we had an order to fulfil after the 30th of June that was express!
