Cancel bid for a buyer??

Hello, I have an item with 9 hours till auction finishes.The highest bidder has just messaged me asking me to retract his bid as he cannot afford the item anymore. Can I even do this?? Thankyou

Yes, if you go here http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?CancelBidShow with the item number and member ID of the bidder, you can cancel the bid. (You're not obliged to, but I would as I think it's better than having someone win and not pay, or pay begrudgingly).
