if you ever write a cheque, your cheque shows your full name, your bank branch and all of your bank a/c numbers, bsb and a/c number.... as well as your signature.  There are those who are afraid to give out their details to someone who wants to pay them, but willing to give them to people they owe money to????? sorry I just dont get it.

The DSRs, excluding communication, are clearly geared towards items which are paid for and expected to be received and your train of thought is just ridiculous.   You're right about not knowing the full details of the transaction so not sure why you bothered to comment.  The listing gave payment by DD as an option.  I actually DID provide the buyer with my bank details in two separate messages.  Over several messages spanning two weeks she claimed she hadn't received the first message and then the second one although she was obviously receiving my other messages as she responded to them.  She was clearly foxing for time or whatever.  She became really rude in the exchanges and I decided that I was not going to deal with her any more and I refused to give her my bank details for the third time.  I didn't make that clear in my original message but that is how it transpired.   eBay refunded my fees on the transaction, had access to all the messages to and fro including the ones where I did provide her with my bank details but sided on her part because I refused to grovel and deal with her antics and provide my bank details a third time.  They refused to remove the feedback because she had indicated to them that she was willing to pay.  Obviously, sellers should take any amount of dirt handed out to them from buyers and do so willingly.  It's my product and in the end I'll decide who I sell it to.  I accept the consequence of that, under eBay rules, is the 'buyer' can leave written feedback.  I don't accept though that they can comment under the DSRs I mentioned.

To be honest I didn't see that I could  put in my bank account details until after the transaction went awry.  I'd also never encountered anyone before actually preferring  to pay by DD.  It was so rare to me I just had it in my head that she would pay byPayPal for protection etc.

I'm not afraid to give out my bank details rather the whole thing became a case of my not wanting to put up with her any more.

Yes, I just assumed it was because you said the seller was aggressive you'd like to protect your info as much as possible.  Which is understandable if it were so, but having explained you had already given this twice makes more sense.  

Interesting that buyers don't have to have a Paypal account but sellers have to provide Paypal, or credit card facilities and Paymate or whatever the other one is called . . . .

 I haven't sold many items on that account and by process of deduction I worked out she was the culprit of my low ratings.

I'm sure if you keep selling on that account your ratings will naturally increase.If only one person has trashed your ratings,you must've only sold a VERY small amount of items so I wouldn't stress.JMO

eBay wants the sale more than anything.  They're happy to forgo PayPal fees on the transaction if they have to.  I guess some money is better than no money.

Haha - it takes a lot more than dealing with lunatics to stress me out.  She earnt the title - someone who answers every message I sent but claims the two messages with the vital info ie my bank details were not received is definitely a lunatic or they must think I am to believe what they're saying 🙂
