We all know AP is not perfect.

Seems the 250 thingy was a misprint.

But go figure - up to 5kg in a satchel - whose internal measurements = 270mmx180mm. 🤣

You only to a stickler for what's printed in the satchel and you'd be right up the creek. There are a lot of nasty people around. 

Perhaps you should read my post again. I didn't dictate anything to anyone. I merely found it extremely amusing to see you contradicting yourself by refusing to believe the relevant information, and commented to that effect.

Just to further clarify, there are no creeks involved. The satchels (padded mailers) have a maximum weight of 5kg. Australia Post advertise the maximum weight of 5kg. Australia Post have identified a misprint on some products and have advertised as much.

When you purchase a label selecting "Australia Post Standard Extra Small Satchel", it clearly states "Up to 5kg. Max. 28cm x 21.5cm x 7cm.". Surely you understand that Australia Post actually know the specifications of their own products, so it really doesn't matter if they're nasty people or not.

Just so you know, one can also still use old stock such as AP prepaid satchels and clickandsend flat rate satchels marked with 500g, 3kg, etc. for items up to 5kg, without any issues. That's exactly how Australia Post flat rate domestic mailing products work - they ALL have a maximum weight of 5kg (regardless of what it says on the product) and the postage charges are calculated using the dimensions of the product, rather than the weight.

AP also explicitly state that the XS mailers can contain 5kg.

Still not available to purchase pending the AP implementation.

I asked AP when they would be available. It seems to be too hard.

No eBay branded packaging is available in AP stores. In fact, many retail staff have no idea that they even exist... but they're all available in the AP online shop - as shown in my previous screenshot.
