So I presume everyone received this email from ebay a couple of days ago.  Just wondering if it's still the same 'cheaper' postage option that started just before Christmas or have they fixed it and this is something new / similar/

Yes, Sandy, I presumed that was probably the case, but was hoping that they'd fixed the mess that they'd created. Wishful thinking, I suppose.

Just game back to report that there haven't been any improvements since they first introduced this. Sold a book (another Id) & ebay wanted to charge me $22+ for a large letter with tracking. No thanks.
