Just wanted to share an interesting experience at the PO today.
Man beside me was picking up a parcel. When it came out, the PO lady said, Oh look Amazon have put it in clear plastic so everyone can see what you've bought'. Man wasn't overly happy, needless to say, and then replied, 'I didn't even buy it from Amazon; I bought it from ebay'.
Another buyer sucked in and is probably more likely to go straight to Amazon in the future. 1 less buyer for ebay 😞

Another middle man making a buck.
I'd love to see the feedback comment for that one.

And yet another buyer's details shared with Amazon without the buyer's permission.

It is against ebay policy, plus it is not a great idea on the part of the seller as buyers definitely don't like it.
I can recall years ago on this forum someone came on to bitterly complain they had bought something, maybe a side table?-and it came direct from Kmart. I might add it was quite a bit cheaper in kmart.
This makes buyers feel stupid, makes them feel scammed.
Technically, they are not exactly being scammed I suppose, as they clicked to buy and got their item. And it is not always cheaper on Amazon. Well, the item itself may well be but if you have to pay postage (and unless you are on Prime, you often do pay postage on smaller items), then the deal on ebay may work out slightly cheaper.
But for sure, buyers are being confronted with the fact that Amazon must have these goods for cheaper-not a great message to give if you hope to continue as an ebay seller!
I've had it happen to me (with something arriving from Amazon). No one who does that gets positive feedback from me.

Even with Prime. There is a bottom limit for 'free' postage. $30 I believe.
I have Prime, but not often for buying.

Keep in mind some larger sellers advertise/list on eBay and Amazon and other markets. Cross listing is not uncommon in online trade and you wouldn't really expect individual shipping based on the market order.
In a galaxy far far away in eBay Australia's infancy , I had a BMX for sale on Sold.com (remember the Yahoo site that eBay bought), the Trading Post at the same time and I also threw in eBay as an afterthought . Mind you I had 5 of the same one and wanted to maximise my exposure to selling them as quick as possible.

Sellers list on Temu and AliExpress too but buyers don't expect their details to be shared with those sites and receive a parcel directly from AliExpress or Temu.
