basic store prices don't agree with me in any case these days.

ive actually done extremely well on the freebies
you'd run a risk buying anything interstate, no protection no feedback system

because here is the only site we can list auction, they increase the auction listing fee.

So a partner is not allowed a separate ID.I know at least 2 people who do this,not disputing what you say as I didnt realise it was an issue

I have several IDs, as do a lot of members.
As long as each ID has a separate email address (an eBay requirement to even register) and don't interact with each other, there is no prohibition on partners having separate accounts, several each if they wish.

Just asked the question,husband and wife can have separte user accounts but obviously will need separate email addresses:-)

A single person can have multiple IDs and use them for buying/selling, so it's not an issue for spouses to have separate IDs.
However, there's not really a system to beat. Every ID, if they are not a store holder, will be able to access 40 free listings a month. The FVF will remain the same no matter what, so the only thing multiple IDs would be good for is for having more than 40 free listings a month.
If I were continually listing more than 40 listings per month, a store would probably be far more beneficial than spreading that activity over multiple IDs.
