Well what do you know, after taking all of your advice the parcel turned up. Today the buyer contacted me and said the post office put the parcel in the wrong PO box. Weird that it has taken 9 days for them to realize this.

I am soooo happy that this is all over.

Just an update.   Well what do you know, after taking all of your advice the parcel turned up. Today the buyer contacted me and said the post office put the parcel in the wrong PO box. Weird that it has taken 9 days for them to realize this.

Oh, that is not weird at all; if the person who collected the mail from the other PO box did not check until they got it home or to their office.  Then it would depend on their honesty to bring it back to the PO.

If it's a small country town it probably serves a wide outlying district - the owner of the other box may only collect their mail once a week.
