yes, I received the same scam today. Whenever I get anything purportedly from Paypal. I don't open it, just login to Paypal via my ebay account. Open any links on the scam email and the sender gets all.

Got the same one today 17th Dec2013 by e-mail
So called purchase date 10 Dec...2013.
Have advised paypal

I might have mentioned this before -
If you mouseover the link in the email it will give you the ACTUAL URL of the link. Which is guaranteed to NOT be anything to do with Paypal. Even looking at the URL in the header will show it to not be a valid Paypal URL. It will have additional characters, or some missing.
A good rule of thumb is if you didn't buy anything for the quoted amount, then it is not legitimate.
They rely on self-selection. I can only assume they get a few self-selectors.

I forward all suspicious emails like this to-- spoof@paypal.com.au & they deal with it . I just received this particular email this morning, so the mongrels are still at it
