How long do I wait for payment before contacting the buyer ?

Hi, I've never had this problem before. I have always had people pay within a few hours of buying an item from me or winning an auction. How long should I allow the person to pay for the item before I contact them?
Any help on this would be great, thanks 🙂

You can open a NPB after four days and close it four days later. At which time you can relist or offer a second chance offer.

 

eBay, I think, send a reminder after two days. i send a polite reminder on day four, then open the case on day five.

Thanks very much! If they automatically receive a reminder from ebay and then I send a reminder hopefully they pay or reply.
Also, what is a NPB? And how do I go about this if necessary?

Non Paying Buyer. Or UID - Unpaid Item Dispute.

 

Against you item in your sold list there should be a dropdown to the right. One of the options is 'Resolve a Problem'. Click that, choose "I Sold an Item and I haven't been Paid", or something like that, and follow the prompts.

A NPB is a non paying bidder, go to your My eBay and then under selling go to the item in question on the right hand side the is a drop down arrow click it then click Solve a Problem and follow the prompts from there. But wait 4days most pay buy then but if they don't just as stated. Good luck.

You are very lucky if all your buyers pay straight away, many don't and pay a day or two later or only after you open a dispute.

 

I wait until day 3 then send the invoice with a note asking if they can confirm how they paid as I have been unable to trace their payment (diplomacy at work) and then if nothing by the end of day 4 I open the dispute.

Oh wow, maybe I am just a good buyer (I always pay straight away) and must have had good buyers because they've all paid straight away too.... Minus this one person. I resent the invoice to them last night & have still heard nothing so they have until xmas to respond I guess!
