Im sure the fraud squad has more important things to worry about than a lost lid. How would you suggest the buyer provide proof for the missing lid? I am guessing by photo? At which point it would be safe to say they would not photograph it if they really did receive it (unless they are blind and you play Where's Wally and point out to them the location of the lid in the photo 🙂

Unless the set is extremely valuable, I reckon the cost to return everything except the lid would wipe any profit out.

But that's just my perception.

You and sweetpea COULD be right.

hahahahahahahahahaha

No Dave I wouldn't have a clue if they do or don't I only pointed out it could be nothing more just highlighting that you perception of it being missing is nothing more than an assumption which you should not be doing as you I or anyone else simply do not know. This is why you should only stick to answering the question and keep your assumptions to yourself.

Also Dave who the hell said they want it for profit they may just want a complete set for themselves and if you were aware that kitchenalia is actually very popular and yes can be several hundred dollars for the right Art Deco or. Retro style units. So your theory of it's not worth it is some what floored for many many reasons that's why you should just answer the question and assume NOTHING.

Thanks for your responses folks.

Have had no further communication from buyer, that says it all to me 🙂

Did you keep a receipt of the postage by any chance. If they did just want the lid you could check the weights of the parcels, you made need a jp or something there as a witness.Smiley Very Happy
