How do I post a large item?

Hello there,

I have an expensive used computer case all wrapped up and ready to list and sell but I'm pretty certain that it's too big for Australia Post.

The dimensions are 72cm x 33cm x 72cm and it weighs around 18-19kgs.

What other shipping options do I have?

Thanks for your help.

It would probably be best to go with AusPost than with an independent courier if it's only a one-off item.
Try putting through the dimensions in www.auspost.com.au Postage Calculator. I get the postage cost of around $60 with the info you've provided.

Without knowing where the parcel is being sent from and its destination I did a calculation from Melbourne 3000 to Millers Point 2000 and weigth of 19kg and the size as stated in the OP and the rate is showing as $185.00

$185.00 is for express post. The price I said earlier was for regular post. With Signature on Delivery + Insurance it's around $80

For $185.00 I push it in my wheelbarrow.

Seriously, use a courier such as Couriers Please DHL or TNT Overnight.

Best wishes

Robert

You can send a large item in an envelop ... Like an expensive Nikon camera ... (inside joke, sorry if you don't get it)

Couriersplease is very good.

However, I dont get the coupon system since I use their prepaid satchels but by the sounds of it, you wont be paying as much as AUSPOST.
