Photo sizes

I have been on eBay for about 12 years and loading photos without a problem now they have to be a certain size and I have been resizing them with Picasa but I cannot alter to the size eBay now accept.

They have to be 500 x 500 minimum.

Why can't you resize them to that? It's not a big pic.

I use Windows Paint for mine - seems to work.

mmmm well eBay tell me one side has to be 600.........I'll try Windows Paint then thanx

no, it only has to be 500 on the longest side.

who knows ebay tells me 600 but either way it is dam annoying me...

New picture quality requirements, aimed at helping you showcase your items as best as possible, are now in place. Take a look at what they are:

At least one photo for every listing
Photos need to be at least 500 pixels on the longest side (we recommend 1600 pixels)
No borders, text or artwork shown on your pictures
Catalogue or stock pictures can only be used for brand new items
Watermarks allowed for ownership and attribution only

Yes it is I had to edit over 500

So what programs do you guys use

I have paintshop pro, it's old version now but it still works a treat.

I believe you can download a 30 day trial, if you have a lot to do might be worth your while. Just google.

I used MS Office Picture Manager.

It has the capability to scale up/down by a percentage and retains the aspect ratio as you resize. Worked well.

You probably need to have MS Office installed to get access to it tho I think.

I just use Paint. Comes standard with Windows.

Works well enough for cropping and resizing, but you can't do colour enhancement stuff.
