Watchers

Underneath Viewers/Watchers it has 23 and 7 underneath. Before on the main item page it would have for eg Watchers = 7 but now it doesn't show up that way

23 is the number of views, 7 is the number of watchers.

Before when? My my selling page has shown this for quite a while.

But anyway, that is what the numbers now mean.

I don't like watchers they don't buy anything they make you relist over and over again

I think ebay made some changes to the selling manager and it has been reset to the default. I had mine customized and it changed about 2 weeks ago. Nice of ebay to let people know.

They make you list over and over?? What, they hold a gun to your head?

I am a watcher, I have a heap of things that I want to buy on my watch list, things that I might buy next week when I get paid, or things that I might keep on my list for a year before buying - but I do usually buy. If you don't like them then ignore the numbers.

I rarely look at the numbers, but a lot of my sales had watcher(s) when they sold. Presumably at least some of the buyers were watching beforehand.

I don't sell anymore, but I liked knowing how many watchers, usually the more watchers the more popular the item, and this was proven in sales.

It assisted me in weedling out the slow movers and havng more of the popular lines.

You can't please all the people all the time, so now I just please myself

watchers making you re;list? no way it would have anything to do that just maybe your asking price is more than people are willing to pay? Nah, surely it couldnt be that....must be the watchers.

Huh???

No watchers, no sale, in my experience !!

AND the more watchers the more energetic the bidding activity, in most cases, is also my experience.

Mind you, I have whined to ebay about the policy they adopted some few months ago of publishing the no. of watchers an item has on the item sales page for all to see, until the item receives its first bid.

Previously, it was information only the seller was privy to.

I somehow felt, it was information that potential buyers didn't need to know and that it would disadvantage the seller but I don't know for sure that it does.

What do others think?
