You went a little off track and tried to pin me for something you thought I was doing wrong.....
Back to my point of Buyers not paying, maybe BIN option 'make and offer' with immediate payment would be a better way to go.

I've used another another site bit like ebay and they actually ask for a creditcard or another secure option to put on file if you want to start bidding on an item. So if the auction is won and the buyer doesnt pay within a certain time they get deducted a percentage of the sale price. Its a secure site and havent had an issue with them.
(This just stop people from bidding and not paying).
I just thought it would be good for ebay to start doing dont you think.

I assume that the percentage goes to the seller in this case.
Yeah I could see how this would make bidders think twice before they win an auction and then don't pay.
