Sellers listings require feedback or blocked

Thoughts please on Sellers listing practises as stated on all listings
Any buyer who does not complete transaction with feedback or leaves neg will be blocked from future auctions.
Is this against eBay policy ??

I certainly hope so.......

Why on earth would you want this?

A seller sends a faulty item, doesn't respond to messages and/or refuses to resolve the problem with the buyer (whose money by the way sellers rely on) and the buyer leaves a negative - and, according to your protocol can't buy again.?

Madness.

Feedback BTW is voluntary, and if you have these TOS in place, any FB you get sure ain't going to be positive.

Exactly my thoughts also !! as I as a buyer from this seller I have been blocked from any future auctions .reported to eBay the sellers listings stating feedback requirements seems so far no action and no violation

I fail to see how eBay can allow this this sellers terms to be allowed on all listings in bold red text stating that buyers who do not leave feedback will be blocked and this seller has no problems in telling you why in questions and answers that they require POSITIVE feedback .

A seller can block a buyer for whatever reason they want.

Yes but can a seller demand feedback and block for not receiving any as feedback is voluntary not compulsory!
Its totally unreasonable and eBay's policy guidelines state that no listings can include feedback conditions.

I am so sorry OP - I assumed you were a seller wanting to put these TOS/protocols in place.

Dylan - yes, a seller can block any id they want, but they can not do a broad block outside of eBay protocol.

That's OK my fault for not being clearer 🙂
My issue with this seller is not that I have been unfairly blocked thats a loss to them as sellers need buyers !! The issue is that in this sellers terms it is clearly stated on all listings that feedback is required to be leftt receiving travel voucher in red text !! thi

Hopefully this new seller will learn that demanding feedback is not productive and shame that eBay is allowing such practices to continue after numerous reports 😞

Yep, it's against policy for them to say that, but it's not against policy for them to do it.

No one can dictate with whom they must transact before a contract is created.

Kinda curious why you care though? I mean why would you want to deal with someone who says that? I'd just hit the back button.
