The only way I can get here is to respond via my email inbox (responses from members on other threads). Another Friday maintenance glitch?? Anyone else having this happening, or it is only my 3 id's.

No, it's been happening to many others as well, including myself. It doesn't appear to be browser-dependant either.

I've been getting around the problem by clicking on "customer support" and once the page refreshes, "Community" then appears as per normal.

Thanks. I just did it your way - that's a lot quicker.

Must admit the cynic in me wondered whether this was an attempt to stop members posting comments, particularly on the very hot topic of the moment.

I have not noticed that but I have noticed that my ability to reply to posts is often gone.

The reply & quick reply boxes are dulled & can't be accessed.

At other times New Message box also goes.

Thought someone was trying to silence me but I'm thinking it is computer overload as it does reappear later!

phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one. Yes, same thing with me. To get to the discussion forum I do it in a roundabout way but will try the tip of going to Customer Support. i wonder why they've done it.

I think the 'why they've done it' was to stifle comments on FVF's on postage.

But guess what, it seems to be up and operational again - so eBay lost out on that one if that was the 'modus operandi'.

C'mon you lot, do you really think ebay's boffins are that clever that they can turn the discussion boards on and off to suit themselves?

It could only be accidental because anything else would require a level of programming not seen on the ebay website ever before.

Since yesterday 'Community/Discussion Boards' have disappeared from My eBay Summary Page.
