Paypal Payment Authorisation From?

I just recieved a payment through paypal for an ebay purchase (by the looks of it 2 payments for some reason) and it comes up on the record as:

Authorisation From "such'n'such" Pending

What is this??

Check the PayPal notification and see if they've sent you an echeque for payment. Even though they are done through PayPal, they aren't an immediate payment and will usually say the payment is pending. They are what they say they are, a cheque, which takes time to clear.....days to weeks.

don't think it is an echeck payment. I went into the details and there was a button with a help question mark:

Help with these buttons:
  • Capture: Click this button to move funds from your buyer's account to your account.
  • Re-authorise: Click this button to initiate a re-authorisation for payment. You can re-authorise for payment after the honour period has passed. A re-authorisation can only be completed once.
  • Cancel: Click this button to cancel this authorisation. You will be unable to capture any funds remaining on the authorisation.

There is a "Capture" and "Void" button

I think they sent me a personal payment  or something for me to except. The deal went through ebay but I guess they decided to make the payment direct.

There must be something new (or that I dont know) about capturing funds or something. I have never heard of it before.

I hope I didn't just except a credit card transfer that can be reversed easily, as I excepted it.

Sorry. it was an order through my website. Woohoo.  Cat Very Happy
