LOL< All the PO did was measure weight, scanned barcode on printer postage documents, and made me pay.. thats about it.

And then put the box down, and said i was good to go

Okay?

My PO would definitely require a barcode on an attached label before they would process a C&S. As they get buggerall for processing them.

Davewil, if you process via click and send and chose to pay at post office OR charged to AP credit account, you get a print out of items being consigned that includes a barcode, and these can be scanned at lodgement, rather than individual parcels.

True.

But I would probably notice at the scanning point that there was nothing to scan. Given that C&S only require a printed label and NO supporting documentation.

Yes, you may notice that.

But not all click and send parcels are processed as you process yours.

Not all scanning occurs in the same way yours are scanned.

C&S lodgement processes do not always require that a parcel has a label affixed to complete a scan of the consigned parcel label into the system.

Parcels can be handed over for lodgement (IMO probably more frequently with a large amount of parcels or one/several boxes full) with the consignment being calculated and scanned by AP from the documentation printed from C&S that accompanies the consignment, as they include the bar code.
