I keep saying ... we need a feedback profile page for all members that's like a baseball card, something that tallies up specific things and then - finally - we will be able to turn all feedback on eBay into something useful.

That is, a card game where our eBay stats determine our card's abilities. When you achieve a higher star rating, your HP goes up, and your abilities expand. We could print 'em, swap 'em etc, and those with highly desirable attributes will be extremely collectible.

What can I say, there's the ego thing, it's getting a bit late, I'm procrastinating, and I figured it was safer to make fun of myself. Smiley LOL

Sorry for dragging up an old thread, but on the slim chance anyone is interested, I just wanted to follow up on the original enquiry as the low DSR that was showing is now coming up on the next screen with the expandable report thingy... It was actually left a few weeks before it started showing on my dashboard, then took another week or so to be reflected in the downloadable report (no idea why it was left, it was from a repeat buyer who bought several things, left identical, pos FB for everything and that was the only one with a low DSR - for description, which is pretty thorough as far as I know, but oh well...)

The other DSR I mentioned that disappeared after a while... Turns out that's because eBay removed it Smiley Surprised , which is nice - thanks for that one, eBay. (Was for postage time).

Re  :  no idea why it was left, it was from a repeat buyer who bought several things, left identical, pos FB for everything and that was the only one with a low DSR - for description,

I'll try & keep this brief and hope these comments are not repeated on another thread.

Back when I was a newbie Buyer on Ebay I accidentally left 3 Stars a couple of times for Sellers & of course could't find a way to correct it, but figured 3 Stars was Neutral so shouldn't have a neg affect.  As soon as I read about this new Defective System, I contacted CS and contacted them again in the last few days suggesting there now needs to be a prompt, red flag or something querying a Buyer before they leave any 3's under this new system.  A prompt for only 1's and 2's is no longer acceptable.

First response was ' I understand what you're saying.  Good idea.  We'll pass that on to the technical department" - no response to the latest message.  I guess time will tell, by which time who knows how many defects we may have received unjustly.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot to indicate if it was intentional or a mistake, (the low DSR), but it was a 1 star rating, there were about 6 items they left FB for at the same time, and none of the rest copped defects so the other 5 had to be 4 or above.

Some people have stated they use the description DSR to rate the condition of an item, rather than how closely the description matches the condition, so I would really like to see some education and/or accountability in this area, considering the impact they can have. Sellers knowing who left a low DSR just seems makes certain things more tentative, rather than the DSRs a buyer leaves more carefully considered, which is what I would prefer.

I still have more defects showing on my dashboard that are not reflected in the seller performance reports ... The tally differs by 2 to 1 .... Not impressed 😞

Pfffft. Defective Stupid Ratings.

I find it all a bit bizarre, to say the least. When I posted the thread, it was the first I'd heard of the new low rating, but the buyer actually left their feedback nearly a month before it started showing, and my dashboard looks quite different today, and that was the first I saw the other one had been removed. Smiley Surprised

It's a bit of a disappointing mess - discrepancies in dashboard reports, discrepancies in available info which is limited, some sellers getting defects while others don't for the same situation, and no power to address or redress the damage, unless the eBay 'gods' take a bit o' pity on you, or whatever it is that prompts the removal of a low rating.
