Hi all,

Just wondering what you guys consider to be either a fair or insulting bid on best offer prices?

I have recently had a couple of offers at 50% of the buy it now price, which frankly i fend insulting, maybe I should toughen up, but frankly I cannot help feeling very peaved at such low offers. I have read people saying 10% off is a fair price, I would say 20% is a decent starting point, but half price is just horrific. I just blocked a couple of buyers because of the offers, as I would rather not deal with them, but what do all you seasoned veterans think?

You have an option when listing BIN with best offer to "accept or decline offers" . It may save you time and feeling insulted to put this in the listing. 🙂

I think you make use of the button that automically declines offers, that are below what you are happy to accept.

I don't use the auto system to decline any offers as I need to have a laugh a few times a day,just the other day I was offered $200 on a $900 item,made me laugh so much I nearly choked.

Yeah I know, some slip through without me put the 'automatically decline offers than' limit on it! But I possibly will check them all now, it infuriates me when they are so low, and I always feel the urge to respond with a smartass comment, not great for any seller to do, especially a newbie like myself!! Lol

I have been insulted on a regular basis this way lol..... I'm just good at pressing 'decline' now..... (I have also nicknamed this my 'F*&* off idiot' Button)
