Id call Ebay and ask them to investigate to confirm whether it was a glitch or not.
I MIGHT also contact the last seller in the buyers feedback and ask a general question re: if they have had any "free postage" glitches. Dont mention the buyers name.
Because, I could photoshop that "free postage" on a mobile or PC screenshot in literally about 5 seconds. *Extremely* easy to do. You dont even need photoshop, it can be done with MSPaint. A photo is not evidence of anything.

hi gtx
is contacting a previous seller about a buyer allowed sounds a bit like a policy violation
I did contact ebay and they really had no idea what I was on about
I get what you are saying about photoshop i had a suspicion of something like that
especially when the order was cancelled as soon as I marked unsent
selling is making me very nervous lately with all the stories I have heard about refunds etc

I had exactly the same problem once. i never ever have free postage on anything, so was surprised when a buyer commented that i shouldn't have sent the invoice with postage. In my ebay it showed free postage, but the item listing showed postage, weird really

I can't see the photo real well, even when I increase the page size to 400%. Is the free postage appearing next to the $15.75 or under it? If it's what I can see next to the $15.75, then I'm calling photoshop. I looked at the ad in the app, the postage amount was showing under the price, next to the delivery estimate. I looked at the mobile version of the site, it was also showing under the price.
I looked at some of the items on my watch list that have free postage and the free postage was written in the same place as it would if there was a postage cost.....that is, under the price and under the amount of bids.
I just had a look at one of the items I just won with free postage and it was showing (in the phone app):
US $6.55
+ Free postage
(approximately AU $8.41)
9 bids
The active listings shows the postage under the amount of bids as opposed to directly under the price.

That's what I thought. It didn't matter how I checked the listings, none had the price at the right. I suppose it could be an old version of the phone app, but I never remember the postage being at the right of the price.
I'l calling suspect!
