Can someone tell me ..I would like to buy a pre pay sim card from Aldi it operates on telstra 3g network.I dont have a spare mobile so was looking at a little new purple Samsung on ebay for $31 but it says its 2g .Will the sim card work in it? or do I have to get a 3g phone?
Thanks

I think you may be able to use it... if it fits in the 2g phones sim slot however you will not be able to recieve the 3g functionality

All sim cards you buy are 3G now and they will work on a 2G phone but you will only get 2G reception
You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

Sim cards don't add anthing in regards to network functionality although marketing may be misleading.
