Still waiting for the 'local' to wear off sometime overnight. I feel like I have someone else's arm attached as it has no feeling at all and I can't move my fingers.  Very weird.

Sounds like they did an arm block,(they inject into the nerve).

It makes the surgery less painful and it acts as pain relief afterwards and is great for keeping the blood pressure down.

You can pick the arm up and it just drops straight down if you let go,(not a good idea but it does feel strange),:-D

All the best with the recovery,:-x

Hi every-one, yesterday they allowed some Bundaberg residents to go back to their homes to collect some of their possessions [photo's etc], it would have been heartbreaking for them.

Thinking of Wilma and Neil.

Anyone heard from Wilma and Neil?

Last I heard was a few days ago and that Neil has been back to the house to see what was left 😞  and if anything could be salvaged.

They have very kindly been "loaned" a vehicle for a couple of weeks or until the insurance claim is processed on their 2 vehicles and can get a new "broom" to get around.

They were still waiting for the assessor to arrive re the house and contents and whether or not they are covered - and to what extent - as there seem to be question marks re that!!. 😮

Hopefully Wilma will be able to pop in herself and update shortly.

Near as I can figure with Google and public media images they are somewhere in here.....

Thanks for keeping us updated Hynes and fingers crossed that damage isn't too devastating for them.

Here is my new grandson Thomas Andrew who was born on Saturday evening and weighed 3394gms/7lb. 7oz. He is a clone of Zara and still pretty sleepy. Zara is delighted of course.  She stayed with us for three of the four nights her Mum was in hospital. We took her to Kindy today and Sharon and Thomas came home today so will have picked her up this arvo.  She would have been so excited.
