How are sellers getting tracking numbers from couriers giving them to eBay but not actuary sending orders

I'm not sure if it happens with couriers, but if a seller generates a shipping label with AP it is marked as "sent" in the buyer's purchase history.

I think you can generate & pay on-line, get the number.....then wait for the courier to pick-up

As soon as you place a shipping order you get a consignment note with a reference number which will be the tracking number in the system. When the seller enters the tracking number to the ebay order ebay will show it as sent.
