It’s still free to me? Your comment was useless. Ive sold things before and if i choose to offer free shipping for the buyer i accept that it’s part of the sale.

Why should I have to go through this drama? Why has eBay incorrectly quoted me a return fee then locked me out of returning the item? Bad business.

How is it beyond you

It is eBay policy once you close a return, you cannot open it again

Members here don't make the policies

The easiest thing, as has been said would be to sell them yourself

Yes

Members who state what the policy is are eBay bootlickers

Nobody has attacked you

Unlike you have done with the name calling

Members who chose to ignore the fact that eBay tried to way overcharge me for return shipping, forcing me to cancel the return, and then essentially giving me the middle finger after trying to plead my case, in my eyes are bootlickers, yes. What was I supposed to do differently in this situation?

I took sugars highly biased comments as an attack on my intelligence and integrity.

They were my opinions,  if you don't like alternate opinions,  dont post on a public forum, asking for opinions.

I don't work for Ebay so I dont see why you believe they are biased.

As a seller and buyer on this platform,  yes I do believe a buyer (me as well), should only have one go at starting a return case, and if they cancel thats it, doesnt matter what the reason for cancellation is..  My opinion,  so not sure what the issue is.

As for the cost it is based on the size and weights that the seller puts into the system,   so its not as if Ebay just magically make up a number and add 100 to it.

Update for anyone who may stumble upon this post in the future - I’ve been hung up on via text chat with an eBay customer service agent, and the issue has not been resolved. The agent continued to dodge my question about why the initial postage quote was so incorrect, and said there’s nothing to be done since the return has been closed. I find this to be a predatory system leaving me as a buyer feeling stranded. A very negative experience and I’ll be reluctant to shop with eBay again. Cheers everyone

All you really had to do was wrap them up take them to the PO - get a tracking number - add it.

With all due respect, I asked 2 questions of you in this thread and you gave no reply to any of them.

1. Did you post the parcel dimensions and exact weight before they gave you a postage quote.

2. I asked what the item number was when you expressed concerns that the seller would possibly not refund you on the return of the item.
